This isn't really Qualcomm's first attempt at an augmented reality chipset. The AR2 has some improvements over the XR2 in terms of portability and power requirements for AR glasses, but it's not entirely clear what Qualcomm means by "world first" in this case Nevertheless, the Snapdragon AR2 Gen 1 could represent a promising step for the future of AR glasses.
